What is Brevo?
A marketing platform that charges for emails sent rather than contacts stored, which inverts the model that makes Mailchimp expensive for businesses with big, quiet lists. EU-based, with SMS and WhatsApp alongside email.
Contact-based pricing punishes you for having a list. Send-based pricing punishes you for emailing it. Which is cheaper depends entirely on your ratio, and it is worth ten minutes with a calculator before you renew anything.
The European base shortens the data-protection conversation for some buyers, though we have not read the vendor’s own statement and are not recording one on their behalf.

What to watch on the price
We could not retrieve the pricing page to verify current plans — the link goes to the vendor page. The distinguishing feature is that plans are priced by emails sent rather than contacts stored.

Who is Brevo for?
A good fit for

- Businesses emailing a small list very often, where contact-based pricing may be cheaper
The Torus verdict on Brevo
The send-based pricing is the reason to look. A business with 20,000 contacts who are emailed monthly pays far less here than on a contact-priced platform.
