What is Crisp?

Messaging, shared inbox, help centre and an AI assistant in one, from a French vendor. The flat per-workspace pricing is the distinguishing feature: adding staff does not add cost, which inverts how almost everything else here is sold.

Per-seat pricing quietly shapes behaviour: it makes you ration who can see customer messages. In a ten-person business that is the wrong incentive, and a flat price removes it.

The French base is worth noting for anyone whose data-protection review cares where a processor sits, though we have not read the vendor’s own statement on this and are not recording an answer on their behalf.

What does Crisp cost in the UK?

From $45 per month.

Does Crisp train AI models on your data?

No

Crisp states: "Please note that we never train our AI model with our Customer's data", and separately "Crisp does not use input data to train the model further." A plain answer from a European vendor. Read on 30 August 2026.

The Torus verdict on Crisp

The flat pricing is genuinely unusual and suits a small business where everyone does a bit of support. Worth a look purely for that, before the AI features enter into it.

What are the alternatives to Crisp?
